Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy: Poor nutrition is often times reesponsible for a myriad of health problems that plague modern society. The result of a poor nutrition can produce weaknesses in the body’s physiological and psychological conditions. A nutritional Therapist is healthcare professionals who understand and reverse the tragic and unsuspected effects of the modern diet on their patients and clients based on their bio-individual nutritional needs.

Nutritional therapists work with individuals to alleviate and prevent ailments by making dietary recommendations. Their focus is on the belief that there are nutritional and biochemical imbalances in the body that lead to ill health. They make recommendations to restore balance, which may include guidance on avoiding certain toxins and allergens, detoxification and the use of supplementary nutrients. Nutritional therapy can be used for people with chronic health conditions or those who want to improve their general health and lifestyle. Nutritional therapists often have contact with other healthcare professionals to coordinate services provided to a particular patient Dr. Sara Franco-Vasquez, Psy.D., NTP, is a nutrinional therapist graduated from The Nutritional Therapy Association in Olympia WA, incorporated as a vocational nutrition school in 1997 by Gray and Joy Graham.
